Fly Away to a Whisky Hut
It’s a good decision to fly to The Bad Decision Hut.
Just 15 minutes from Lake Tekapo lies Glenmore Station. Glenmore is owned by Ems and Will Murray and is home to New Zealand’s (and possibly the world’s) highest whisky bar.
The 19,000-hectare merino, deer and cattle station borders Lake Tekapo and Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park offering unbeatable views all year round. The braided river networks with the backdrop of the Southern Alps makes flying to Bad Decision a truly breathtaking experience. Heli-skiers order their whisky supplies prior to winter here – but for the non-skiing guests, we can help you out at Ranginui from our stock of whiskey or champagne.
Mackenzie Helicopters offer flights to Whiskey Hut, as well as other incredible adventures like a champagne breakfast in the snow, a picnic on the West Coast, or tailor your own – check out their adventure options right here. For an epic experience and to access without the effort of skiing or hiking in, a helicopter flight is a must.
